I started sculpting this dog in wax from photographs of a friend's dog who had lived for eighteen years, and was greatly missed. As I progressed with the piece, it became dogs I had loved and lost also. I then saw through the eyes the unconditinal love that all my dogs have shown me. It reminds me of a temple dog, as it became my teacher.
